Dhaka, December 11, 2025 — The Centre for Advanced Studies and Thoughts (CAST) organized a Data Collector Training Program on Thursday as part of its upcoming research initiative titled “রাষ্ট্রচিন্তা ও জনমত জরিপ ২০২৫” (State Thinking and Public Opinion Survey 2025).

The training session was held in Dhaka with the participation of a group of young researchers and field-level data collectors. The program aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and methodological skills required for accurate, ethical, and unbiased data collection in nationwide public opinion surveys.

During the session, speakers discussed the objectives of the survey, questionnaire design, sampling techniques, field ethics, respondent engagement, and data reliability. Emphasis was placed on maintaining neutrality, ensuring informed consent, and upholding research integrity while collecting public opinion data.

Senior representatives and researchers from CAST guided the trainees through interactive discussions and hands-on instructions, highlighting the importance of evidence-based research in understanding public perceptions on state, governance, and policy-related issues.

The organizers stated that the “State Thinking and Public Opinion Survey 2025” aims to generate reliable empirical data that will contribute to informed policy dialogue, academic research, and public discourse in Bangladesh.

The training concluded with an open discussion and briefing on field deployment, marking an important preparatory step toward the successful implementation of the nationwide survey.
